The Water Taxi FAQ

Booking your journey in advance is the best way to guarantee a water taxi. Book online or phone us directly on 0439 625 377. For same day bookings, phone bookings are recommended. In both instances, we will need to take your credit card details to secure a booking. To take a trip on the day without booking, we require one hour notice before travelling.

Our white water taxi limousines can pick you up from just about any wharf, public or private jetty and any pontoon in Sydney Harbour or the Parramatta River. The owner's permission is required for private jetty or pontoon access. You can usually find our water taxis in Circular Quay at both Harbour Masters & Commissioners Steps in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Our Sydney Harbour water taxi services take you anywhere inside the headlands of the Harbour; to Manly or through the Spit to Middle Harbour, Darling Harbour or anywhere up the Parramatta or Lane Cove Rivers. We also offer offshore charters for whale watching for up to 12 passengers. We can pick you up from your private wharf, vessel or from any public wharf.

Yes, we can take you to the islands of Sydney Harbour. We are licensed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to take you to any of the eight Sydney Harbour National Park islands. You will need to contact NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service as there is a small fee for landing and national park rules apply.

We can organise water taxi transport for groups. Our largest vessel carries 28 passengers, and we have 6 other white water taxi limousines available for group bookings. If your transfer can be staggered, choose Majestic for a special rate for multiple trips that is ideal for short distance transfers. For groups of 160 or more, we recommend Captain Cook Cruises. At Majestic Water Taxis, extra charges will apply for special touches like a “just married” sign, a ribbon on the bow or different attire for the captain. Transfers at or after 10:15pm will also attract addition late fee costs,
Please note: Standard operating hours for water taxis are between 09:00am to 10:15pm. When ask to stay out past standard operating time we charge extra late fees to do that.
So basically the later you would like us to stay out or ask for us to operate out of the standard hours of operations additional cost we apply. We ask that you ensure your group is ready to depart 15 minutes prior to the specified departure time(s) Otherwise a per minute waiting fee is charged. Five minutes grace is offered, after which waiting time is charged for the full time accrued .These charges are standard for all transfers.

All fares are determined by distance and all time travelled, all fares are based on the first 1-4 people travelling as the flag fare with additional cost per person thereafter applies .
